Joshua founded In-State Interiors with a GC-minded approach to commercial interior systems. The company was built on the belief that successful subcontractors do more than install their scope — they understand the broader goals of the project. That means communicating early, coordinating with other trades, solving problems before they impact the schedule, and delivering work that helps the general contractor keep the project moving forward. Every project is approached with the understanding that strong partnerships are built through reliability, professionalism, and consistent execution.
After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Joshua spent several years with a commercial interior systems contractor, where he managed projects, prepared estimates, developed BIM models, and produced coordination and shop drawings for commercial construction projects. He later joined a large general contractor within its Federal Division, where he helped manage complex federal projects and gained valuable experience with project planning, quality control, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and the documentation required on government-funded work.
Having worked on both sides of the industry gives us a unique perspective. The company understands the expectations placed on general contractors and what they need from their trade partners: dependable communication, accurate pricing, proactive coordination, quality workmanship, and a commitment to meeting project milestones. That perspective shapes how In-State Interiors approaches every project — from bid day through closeout.
